SIMBAT Project
The specific tasks to be developed in this project are derived from the development of proofs of concept in two areas of work with drones.
The specific tasks are:
Design and development of the performance analysis module of the navigation and control systems.
Characterization of sensors and data processing for navigation in autonomous vehicles, studying configuration and optimal parameters of data processing and fusion systems for navigation based on GNSS, video and inertial sensors.
Design and development of the lidar/video data analysis and GIS enrichment module.
Study of sensor integration and processing architectures to improve environmental sensing (optical/IF cameras, LIDAR, ultrasound). Processing and visualization for services such as automatic enhancement of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from captured geo-referenced data (surface images, polygons representing urban areas or buildings, vectors representing road networks or trajectories, or arbitrary points representing specific objects).
